A fully qualified garden designer ( BA hons, Dip GDS ) with a passion for Andalucia and the culture, architecture and design there, Bruce has long been a regular visitor to Southern Spain Recognising a lack of professional design skills in the region, he has now opened a studio there, dividing his working time between the UK and Malaga provence where he regularly undertakes design projects for gardens, pools and mediterranean planting schemes in and around Marbella, Estepona and Sotogrande.

Project Management
Beyond the design completion, Bruce and the team are available, if required, to project manage the design installation using experienced landscape contractors in Spain which we recommend to be able to offer the same professional standard of service that would be expected anywhere else in Europe.
We are able to recommend landscapers and help you throughout the tendering process ensuring that you receive a fair price from the right contractor who is up to the job. We will then keep a close eye on things via regular on-site meetings with the contractors to ensure that any emerging problems are dealt with and the design is implemented according to every carefully detail on the design drawings, on time, within budget and with minimal stress.
The Design Process
We pride ourselves in offering a clearly communicated design process which fully involves the client every step of the way.
After carrying out a full survey of the site and establishing a detailed brief of your practical needs and aesthetic aspirations, we work together via a series of meetings through the various problem solving stages that emerge. By adapting to each client's specific requirements and personal style, Bruce clearly communicates and involves you every step of the way. Design development and ideas are presented via sketches and mood boards both face to face in meetings and via email. The aim is always to deliver the perfect design for your Mediterranean retreat in Spain with the minimum of stress and within the intended budget.
The Drawings and Specification package :
Once completed, the design is drawn and presented as a technical specification package. A series of presentation, architectural and construction drawings are produced in order to document and clearly communicate to the landscaping contractors every detail of the design. Every plant, construction detail and paving stone is clearly itemised. This high level of detail ensures a fair and transparent tendering process, control over the budget and ultimately the successful installation of the project.
